Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
We take the protection of your data seriously. This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit highground.ch or contact us, and what your rights are. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, on the GDPR.

2. In short
- This website uses no advertising cookies, no analytics and no tracking (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel).
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- Data is only processed to deliver the website securely and to answer your requests.
3. Visiting the website and hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on its global network. On every visit, technical data is processed automatically: IP address, date and time, page visited, browser and operating system, referring website. It is used only to deliver the website and keep it secure (for example against attacks), and is kept for a limited period.
This data may be processed in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (in particular the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses). Cloudflare may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security; they are not used for advertising or tracking.
Fonts are hosted on our own website: no data is sent to Google Fonts.
4. Google Maps
To show you where to find us, the page embeds a Google Maps map (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland / Google LLC, USA). When the map loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive among other things your IP address and may set cookies. This processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy. You can also use the “Directions” link or our address above without loading the map.
5. Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp
If you write to us or call us, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, message) to answer your request, for example about classes, a trial session or signing up. Our email is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, Switzerland.
The WhatsApp button opens the WhatsApp app. If you contact us that way, your messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its privacy policy. If you prefer, contact us by email or phone instead.
6. Instagram
Our website contains a simple link to our Instagram account; no Instagram content is embedded. Instagram (Meta) only receives data if you click the link and open its platform.
7. How long we keep data
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request and, where applicable, your club membership, and are then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them (for example for accounting). Technical hosting data is kept only for a limited period.
8. Your rights
You can at any time request access to your data, its correction or deletion, object to its processing and, where the law provides for it, receive your data in a common format. Write to us at info@highground.ch.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, with the data protection authority of your country.
For people in the EU, processing is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for memberships, on steps prior to or the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
9. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new feature to the website. The version published on this page applies.
